Kinesiology and Reiki
Practised muscle testing and ancient Japanese healing techniques.
Kinesiology

Kinesiology developed from basic muscle testing used by chiropractors, osteopaths and physiotherapists. Its success lies in the ability to ask the body what it needs to return to health, whether it’s nutrition, emotional support, electrical rebalancing and so on.
Pinpointing the correct course of action means that health can be improved quickly.
Imbalances within the body are found and assessed by gently testing the ability of specific muscles to hold under light pressure. The muscle tests measure the muscle contraction, not personal strength.
Each muscle is associated with an organ and to an energy line or ‘meridian’: forming a circuit. The Chinese have used meridians for 5,000 years to improve health. By testing the muscle, the therapist is able to find any chemical, structural, emotional or energetic imbalances in the circuit. Asking the body how it wants the imbalances treated is the next step.
Imbalances are corrected using any combination of nutrition, acupressure, lymph massage, gentle structural realignment, Bach Remedies, and lifestyle adjustments. Although the corrections may seem slight, they have a profound effect. People often describe feeling more relaxed and ‘lighter’ after a treatment.
An improvement is usually felt within the first three to six visits. Taking responsibility for your own health and making any suggested lifestyle/dietary changes will reap dividends in the long term.
Reiki
Reiki is an ancient form of healing from Japan. It heals on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. The word ‘Reiki’ means roughly: ‘Universal life force energy’. Energy is drawn through the practitioner's top energy centres (chakras) and down through the hands into the client's body. There is no manipulation or pressure used: the hands may be placed on or slightly above the body.
The body draws as much energy as it needs, some areas will naturally take more than others. Modern science has now discovered that emotions set off chemical changes within the body that affect our entire systems. Therefore it is possible that physical symptoms have their roots in past emotional trauma. Reiki can gently bring past emotional stress to a level where it can be worked with and help to heal the physical symptoms associated with it.
A treatment lasts around an hour. Reiki is like having a massage that reaches every part of your body, inside and out and is a wonderful way to release the pressures of modern life. It supports and strengthens, enabling the energy flow in and around the body to rebalance itself and remove negative health patterns. Reiki works well with kinesiology and other natural therapies, as it can enhance their effectiveness.
Apart from healing, Reiki can be used by those wishing to find personal
‘balance’ in life. If you feel that you would like to get in touch with the
subconscious knowledge we all have, or become more spiritually aware, Reiki is
one method to achieve a deeper insight. Regular treatments, or being attuned
yourself to the Reiki energy can initiate change. There are now many Reiki
practitioners throughout the world who run attunement courses as well as the
therapy itself.
