Faceworks Creator and Therapist Elaine Bartlett, Dip ITEC, Nut.Cert. is in her mid-50s and appears in all the face exercise videos. With 20 years’ experience  in Complimentary  Therapy, she has a wealth of knowledge about ageing.  Here’s what she says about Faceworks:

Wanting to age  well isn’t vanity: it’s the basic need to feel good about who we are. During my time as a Therapist, I’ve learned being happy about how we look is vital to our personal self esteem: more vital than most of us realize.  It’s the reason I developed Faceworks, to give people the ability to improve how they look, no matter what their age, for a true solution for aging well .  The exercises took 2 years to research and perfect, then trial with a select number of my clients. After they were approved by the CThA, the program became one of the therapies I taught to clients in my practice. That’s how I know the exercises work. It’s why I used myself in the videos for the website and the apps – if the exercises didn’t work, it would be plain to see. The full story of Faceworks is in the first Faceworks book.

The Secret of Aging Well

The last 10 years of running Faceworks has proved to me that the true secret of looking great and aging well is under your skin. It’s the condition of the underlying structure of the face that makes faces look tired – and old.  Although a lot of people would say they want to look younger, I think it’s more about looking good for the age you are than turning the clock back. Truthfully, I don’t want to look 20!  People tell us they just want look in a mirror without feeling despair. Rebuilding the face from the inside with exercise is the answer: it works!

When I began researching face exercises, I thought the results wouldn’t be as good as cosmetic surgery. I was wrong. The reality was astonishing: I discovered that dramatic changes were possible with facial exercise, so good in fact that people thought I’d had a surgical facelift. 3 months after I’d started using the exercises, I met up with a friend who I hadn’t seen for about 6 months. She cornered me and hissed: ‘WHAT have you been doing? You look fantastic!’ It took me a good 5 minutes to convince her I hadn’t had surgery – even my husband  had to tell her it was face exercise.

Ageing Well Boosts Confidence

It’s no exaggeration to say that Faceworks has transformed my own confidence and personal happiness. I am not afraid of aging because I know I can still  look naturally healthy and fabulous in years to come. It’s a great feeling to have, and many Faceworks users tell us they get a big confidence boost too. Just knowing you can reduce aging now , AND slow aging in the future is wonderful. Your body has the ability to regenerate itself naturally, it’s time to use it!
